GRAMMAR TEST 2 & IN-CLASS ASSIGNMENT REVIEW

Though it's not yet November, I would like to greet earlier because I am not gonna post tomorrow. So, the previous post is all about that bass. Nah,just kidding. The previous post is all about the review of the first test. Now, I'm back to do some review on Test 2 and In-Class Assignment (which is really tricky) urgh.

Just like the review that I've done earlier, I need to explain the basic three things;

1) What did I do right?
2) What did I do wrong?
3) What did I learn from this test and what am I going to do in future?

Ah,so. What did I get for Test 2? Hmmm I think it is quite good because there is an increasement of marks :D However, I've did some silly mistakes that I shouldn't do. Well at least there is some improvement.

What did I do right?
I don't know.................... I just read the texts first in order to get the clues,and then I straightly fill in the blanks. Of course I used contextual clues in order to guess the correct nouns. I also used my common sense even though Mr. Adlan told us not to do so.

What did I do wrong?
I did the same mistake by being careless and not reading the text thoroughly before I start answering. There are some questions that I referred wrongly so I filled in the wrong noun. And the most disappointing, I got a few answers wrong just because I forgot to put the capital letter. I really shouldn't do careless mistakes like that again.

What did I learn from this test and what am I going to do in future?
I learned not to rush in answering tests because it will cause me to do careless mistakes. Also,I really need to read the text thoroughly before start answering so that I won't lose the clues. So, in the future I hope I will not repeat the same mistake so that my results will keep on improving.

In-Class Assignment

I'm not gonna explain more on this as it is just a disappointment due to my carelessness. I'll just make sure that I'll do better in the future.

That's all for this entry. All I could do now is just to pray that my final exam results are just fine and I won't have to repeat any papers. And, hello november! I hope this month will bring more happiness and goodness into our life. Plus, my birthday is on next month ヽ(^。^)ノ

Bye!

GRAMMAR TEST 1 REVIEW

It's been a while since I last posted on my blog (which is my first entry) so here is my second entry and I am going to make some review on my Test 1 of  TSL 041 - Grammar I which is held on July 2014. Actually I am supposed to post this before the Final Examination but due to some obstruction and procrastination caused by myself, finally today I have the mood to write.

Okay, what am I supposed to write now?

Based on what did Sir Adlan said, I need to state;
1) What did I do right?
2) What did I do wrong?
3) What did I learn from this test and what am I going to do in future?

First and foremost, in my Test 1, my result is just not bad, and not that good too. But I should be grateful because I didn't struggle much in order to get this. I took this test for granted because I thought it was just a normal grammar test like I used to had in school but unfortunately it was not.

What did I do right?
I don't really remember what did I do right for this test as it was in the July which is 3 months ago but I think I used one of the significant tips that Mr.Adlan gave in his class: Look for the contextual clues by reading the whole paragraph first before answering because maybe the tenses for the whole paragraph are not the same. For example, if there are words like 'currently' or 'right now' and others in the sentence, it means that the sentence use present progressive tense because the words indicate continuing action, something going on now. But for the other sentences, I read them carefully just to make sure the tenses used.

What did I do wrong?
I was careless in identifying the countable / uncountable nouns so I did careless mistakes such as 'show' instead of 'shows' . And also, I was confused whether the tenses used are simple past tense or past progressive tense.

What did I learn from this test and what am I going to do in future?
From this test, I learned that I should not take tests for granted because they contribute for my final results. Besides, I should not be careless in looking for the contextual clues because they will affect the answer, and sometimes the answers for the whole paragraph will also be affected. So, in the future I will try not to be careless, to study and prepare for the test and insya Allah I will try do better next time!

Careless.

Some silly mistakes :(
